Looking at a Google News search for recent coverage of Romi Gonen , there was nothing from the New York Times, the BBC, NPR, or CNN.

Maybe these organizations did not deem her story newsworthy.

Maybe they suddenly are very concerned about corroborating sources.

Maybe her story did not properly fit The Narrative.

Note that CNN finally published an article:

It would be fascinating to know more about the decision process for publishing such articles.

To be fair, I do not see anything in WSJ or Fox. I do not understand this.

Maybe they are just activists with an obvious agenda and forgot what objective journalistic reporting is all about! Did I say "maybe"????? I meant "CERTAINLY"!!!

Canada’s National Post and NYC’s NY Post have also both published stories on this.

You seem to have hit a nerve by telling the truth. Hamas supporters, filled with violent hatred of an entire people, cannot accept the evil at the core of their project, when it is plainly laid out for them.

My heart goes out to Romi who was forced to endure unimaginable evil! I pray to Hashem for a Refuah for her, and for all those who suffered in that living hell under the boot of those inhuman barbaric savages! May Hashem repay that evil for eternity! Also, those organizations who champion women's rights, human rights and safety but turn their heads away, ignore, rationalize, when Jews suffer attrocities should be unmasked and be shamed for their hate and hypocrisy! May those who ignore or rewrite history, the activist press that forgot about journalism, the talking heads that never stepped foot in Israel, and all who still talk about a 2 state solution, shut their mouths! Jews who love Israel thank G-d for the United States' support of Israel, but at the end of the day history clearly shows that the only country that truly cares about Jewish suffering and the spilling Jewish blood is the State of Israel, the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people! עם ישראל חי! ברוך השם!!!

I brace myself to listen to her and then I tell myself it is my duty and responsibility to listen and hear. Those are two different things. Two quotes come to mind here: “What hurts the victim most is not the cruelty of the oppressor, but the silence of the bystander.” E Wiesel, and “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” M Angelou. Thank you for providing the platform for me to bear witness. I wish Romi healing. With warmth, Debbie

There are NO innocents in Gaza. NOT ONE. The culture that allowed these people justify the worst of human atrocities and behaviors must be destroyed by its roots. The Arab Islamist people who - to this minute - believe that their cause is just and right (& their evil supporters) require nothing less than deprogramming. They are modern day Nazis who must confront the lies and indoctrination they've received if there is any chance for a future. Stop calling them by their Arafat FAKE name, stop referring to the territories as "West Bank" they are Judea and Samaria - and stop pretending that the Oslo Accords haven't been violated into oblivion. Stop pretending that Jordan isn't the Arab part of the British Mandate of Palestine. The end.

In the last 4 days, CNN finally published an article, and others, including the NYPost and Daily Telegraph did so afterwards.

This sorts by date: https://www.google.com/search?q=romi+gonen+after:2025-12-01&tbs=sbd:1&tbm=nws

WSJ, Fox News, NYT, NPR, and BBC are all noticably missing.

The fact that WSJ and Fox News have not published anything perhaps means that the explanation is more complicated than, "It does not fit The Narrative". A discussion with Matti Friedman or Call Me Back about why such a story would or would not be published, especially by relatively friendly media such as WSJ or Fox, would be most enlightening.
